I've been a fighter since before it was fashionable, helped pass systemic reforms some thought impossible, and dedicated my entire career to public service. As the only person in this race from Chicago, I'm going to use our grit and my experience to focus on results for our problems, not empty rhetoric.

WHAT IS A FIGHTER?
Recently, it seems like every politician is claiming to be a fighter.
But what does that actually mean?
To me, being a fighter doesn’t necessarily mean yelling the loudest or making showy displays that don’t accomplish anything. It means having the resilience to never give up and find the best pathway forward, no matter how many obstacles are in your way.
I’m a fighter through and through. I’ve been working since I was 12 years old. Fought tooth and nail for years to achieve systemic reforms many thought was impossible. While working, I earned a law degree from Chicago-Kent and Master of Science in Energy Policy & Climate Change from Johns Hopkins to be the best advocate possible. And helped pass hundreds of laws and negotiate multi-billion dollar budgets along the way.
Now I want to bring this grit to fight on your behalf every single day.
Because life shouldn’t be this hard
and state government can help make it better.

I can’t promise that I’ll fix all our problems. No one can.
However, I can promise that I will work tirelessly and use my extensive experience to be as effective as any state representative can possibly be.
I promise that I will never forget the people behind every policy decision because that’s what drives me.
